Miss South Africa Crowned Miss World 2014

The crown of Miss World 2014 went to Rolene Strauss, a 22-year old medical student from South Africa.The  64th annual  world  competition  was  held  in  the  ExCel  exhibition  centre  in London  and  was participated by 121 women from different countries from different parts of the world.  

Miss South Africa was ecstatic to receive the crown from the outgoing Miss World 2013, Megan Young of the Philippines, and happily dedicated her victory to her homeland.Strauss plans to spread education in South Africa and want to help make other individuals realize their dreams.  In  addition, she  highlighted that  being  crowned as  Miss  World  2014 comes with  a  huge responsibility.

Former Pinoy Big Brother Housemate, Valerie Weigmann wins Miss World Philippines 2014

The 24-year-old Valerie Clacio Weigmann was crowned Miss World Philippines 2014 at the SM MOA Arena in Pasay City on Sunday night who bested 25 other candidates.  Weigmann is a Pinoy Big Brother Ex-Housemate Teen Edition and a regular co-host of GMA Network's Eat Bulaga.

Weigmann also bagged 12 special awards such as Miss Camsur, Best in Swimsuit, Best in Fashion Runway, Best in Long Gown, Miss Hana, Miss Olay, Miss Solaire, Miss Figlia, Jesi Mendez Salon Ambassador, Miss Reducin, Miss Bluewater Day Spa, and Miss Bench.

Valerie will represent the Philippines in Miss World 2014 to be held on December 14, 2014 in London, England.
