AirAsia flight QZ8501: Plane from Indonesia bound for Singapore is Missing

An Air Asia plane travelling from Indonesia to Singapore today December 28, 2014 has lost contact with air traffic control, Indonesia's Metro TV reported on Sunday. QZ 8501 has 155 passengers and crew on board.

According to Metro TV, QZ 8501 took off from Surabaya at 5.20 am local time on Sunday and was scheduled to land at Changi Airport at 8.30 am,

Miss South Africa Crowned Miss World 2014

The crown of Miss World 2014 went to Rolene Strauss, a 22-year old medical student from South Africa.The  64th annual  world  competition  was  held  in  the  ExCel  exhibition  centre  in London  and  was participated by 121 women from different countries from different parts of the world.  
Miss South Africa was ecstatic to receive the crown from the outgoing Miss World 2013, Megan Young of the Philippines, and happily dedicated her victory to her homeland.Strauss plans to spread education in South Africa and want to help make other individuals realize their dreams.  In  addition, she  highlighted that  being  crowned as  Miss  World  2014 comes with  a  huge responsibility.

Student and Taxi Driver Argue Over Change for 500 Goes Viral

December 6, 2014, Mark Buraga hopped on a taxi named Red Angelo with a plate number UVU 627 to go to his school in Makati. Much to his surprise, he encountered a mean taxi driver who thrown so much filthy words on him for a reason that Buraga gave a 500php bill for the fare. What the driver did not know is Buraga recorded their intense conversation.

When they arrived in Buraga's school, the taxi driver did not have a change for the P500 bill. Instead of giving Buraga a money change, he received many offensive words from the driver. He drove from one place to another so to break down the P500 bill and worst scenario was when he tried to ask another taxi driver for a change and gave his awful rants about the passenger to the other driver.

The mean driver able to break down the bill from a gasoline station then charged Buraga for P190 instead of P150. He commanded the passenger to get out of his taxi then left.

Buraga is eager to file a complaints against the nasty driver at the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB).

According to reports, there are three major complaints as to the Manila taxi drivers. (1) Overcharging(2) Selecting Passengers and (3) Rude Taxi Drivers. 

Farewell to Frank and Louie

Frank and Louie is a Janus cat from Milbury, Massachusetts, USA. He had been a Guinness World Record holder since 2012 for being the longest surviving Janus cat, the term for two-faced cats.

Basically, he was born with three blue eyes, two faces, two mouths and two noses but only one esophagus. Commonly, most Janus cats have congenital defects and rarely survive.

Frank and Louie died at the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University in North Grafton on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at the age of 15. According to the owner of the Janus cat, the veterinarians think that cancer was the cause of death of their pet.

Former DOH Secretary and Senator Juan Flavier Passes Away

Former Senator and Health Secretary Dr. Juan Flavier passed away Thursday afternoon, October 30, 2014 due to multiple organ failure and sepsis brought about by pneumonia. He was 79 years old.

He spearheaded and strongly campaign the immunization program of Health Department.

Manila – At around 10am, the Ferris wheel of SM Mall of Asia, Pasay City, hit with a fire. As of this posting there no official reports about the cause and the exact amount of damages.  An Instagram upload by Arnexism captures the actual incident.

Facebook is No Longer For FREE Starts November 1, 2014

It has been circulating around the net and social media that Facebook is no longer for FREE, starting November 1st of this year, Facebook will charge a user for $2.99/month to continue using their accounts. In a news from National Report, Mark Zuckerberg allegedly issued an announcement that they are going to begin charging users.

Video: A man Attacked by a Tiger in Delhi Zoo, India

A shocking seen, captured by on cam and upload by Ravinder Singh Hunny in his facebook account from India, this happened in Delhi Zoo, when a man was mysteriously went into the tiger territory at the zoo. No exact identity who that man is, but there is one thing that is sure about it, he was terribly tormented by that animal.
Another thing that you could notice on this incident is that the people who were there, it seems that they haven’t call for any rescue or do something to drive away the tiger so it would stop attacking the poor guy.

Erico Aumentado Jr., passed away yesterday, August 25, 2014 due to cardiac arrest at age of 44 at Ramiro Community Hospital in Tagbilaran City.

Enrico Aumentado Jr is an elder brother of 2nd Bohol District Congressman Aris C. Aumentado and son of the late Bohol governor and 2nd Bohol District congressman Erico B. Aumentado.

48 People Dead As Plane Crashes at Tehran's Mehrabad Airport

Another Airline carrying 48 passengers crashed in a residential area after taking off from Tehran's Mehrabad Airport on Sunday morning, August 10, 2014 killing all passengers including crew.

Air Algerie Flight AH5017 with 116 onboard crashed in Northern Mali

Flight AH5017 disappeared from radar on Thursday. A passenger Air Algerie plane carrying 110 passengers and 6 crew reportedly crashes after losing contact with air traffic control due to heavy rains over Mali after taking off from Burkina Faso to Algeria capital of Algiers.

47 Feared Dead in TransAsia Airways Plane Crashed in Taiwan

Fourty-seven passengers are feared dead while 11 are injured after their plane crashed while trying to land at a Taiwanese airport on Wednesday evening.

The transport minister Yeh Kuang-shih said TransAsia Airways flight GE222 had been attempting an emergency landing, which the airline blamed on bad weather due to typhoon Matmo.

The flight, TransAsia Airways GE222 was flying domestically from Kaohsiung to Magong.

A Malaysian Airlines passenger plane with 295 people has crashed in Ukraine

A MALAYSIAN Airlines passenger plane with 295 people has crashed in Ukraine after being reportedly shot down by Russian authorities.

Flight MH17, which was carrying 280 passengers and 15 crew, was flying between Amsterdam and Kuala Lumpar after taking off leaving at lunchtime today.The Boeing 777 went down near the Russian border after a surface to air missile allegedly hit it.

Veteran actor Roldan Aquino passes away


The character actor Roldan Aquino was died Monday night at the age of 65. Actor Roldan Aquino was known for his kontrabida roles, may it be in films or TV shows.

Some of his popular projects are “Pepeng Agimat” (1999), “Ibabaon Kita sa Lupa” (1990), “Asiong Salonga” (2011), and “El Presidente” (2012).

Malaysian Airplane plane carrying 227 passengers and 12 crew is Missing

Malaysian Airplane flight carrying 227 passengers and 12 crews on its way from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing is missing.
Flight MH370 lost contact with the Subang air traffic control at 2:40 a.m. Saturday. The flight was operated on the Boeing 777-200 aircraft. It departed Kuala Lumpur at 12:41 a.m. Saturday and was expected to land in Beijing at 6:30 a.m. Saturday.

The flight was carrying 227 passengers, including two infants, and 12 crew members, the airline said.

Survivor’s Cagayan edition starts airing in 156 countries

The 28th series of the American reality-TV show Survivor, which was filmed in Palaui Island here last year, will be shown in at least 156 countries over international television networks.

Among the Palaui areas included in the filming of the Survivor 28th series were the scenic Anguib Beach, Pozo Robo Beach, Siwangag Cove and the centuries-old Spanish built Cape Engano Cove.

Beverly Caimen and Aldeza Ianna Dela Torre were hailed grand winners, Senior Grand Champion Performer of the World and  Junior Grand Champion Performer of the World  held at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles, California.

Singing group Gollayan Sisters bagged the Senior Grand Champion Vocal of the World title, and Filipino model Reynaldo Gorospe was awarded the Male Model of the World honor. Goin’ Bulilit” star Chacha CaƱete received two silver medals after competing at the Broadway, Pop, Gospel/Inspirational, Open and Original categories, while Edison Yatco one gold medal in Senior Instrumentalist category.

ABS-CBN balladeer, Jed Madela was inducted into the WCOPA Hall of Fame, alongside Hollywood icons Liza Minnelli, Jennifer Holliday and Arnold Schwarzenegger
